CHAMBERSBURG– A man sought by Chambersburg police on an accusation of child rape has been apprehended and remains incarcerated. Jairon Nexi Reyes-Perez was denied bail by Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns due to “No bail conditions available to protect the victim.”
Reyes-Perez was charged with felony rape of a child, felony statutory sexual assault and felony incest of a minor. He remains incarcerated in Franklin County Jail.
On April 1, Chambersburg police were called to an emergency child forensic interview with a victim who alleged being sexually assaulted by Reyes-Perez. Officers say that the latest assault had occurred about five days prior to the interview at a home on Irva Drive in Chambersburg.
Officers heard details about the latest alleged assault, but said this was not the first time that something like this had happened. Police executed a search warrant on the home a short time later, eventually locating items that were seized by police.
Reyez-Perez remains incarcerated on bail denied in Franklin County.
