CHAMBERSBURG – Downtown Chambersburg Inc. has made the decision to cancel this year’s New Year’s Eve Potato Roll Drop.
DCI released the following statement:
“While the New Year’s Eve event has brought joy, laughter and memorable countdowns to many, we believe this pause creates space for new opportunities.
“We are immensely grateful to our title sponsor, Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls, for their years of support, creativity and generosity in helping to bring this event to life. Thanks to their partnership, we were able to create moments that will be remembered for years to come.
“We are also very grateful to the many community members and volunteers who came downtown and made the Potato Roll Drop a festive and memorable experience.
“While we will not be holding a New Year’s Eve event this year, we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come. We look forward to a new era of community events and experiences taking root right in the heart of downtown. We remain committed to building community, celebrating tradition, and investing in what makes downtown Chambersburg a great place to call home.
“Thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to share what’s next.”
Martin’s did not respond to a request for comment.
