INDIANA, Pa. – Ada McCoy totaled 19 kills and Sophia Ryan added 17 as the Shepherd University volleyball team ran its winning streak to six games on Friday with victories over Elizabeth City State and Pitt-Johnstown at the Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawk Classic.
The Rams (8-1) downed Elizabeth City in four games 25-22, 25-11, 25-23 before taking down Pitt-Johnstown 25-15, 26-24, 25-19.
McCoy recorded nine kills and middle hitter Ryan added seven to lead the Rams against Elizabeth City State. Ryan added five blocks.
Defensive specialist Madigan Faircloth had a match-high 16 digs and Macy Buso recorded a match-high 25 assists.
Ryan and McCoy each had 10 kills to pace the Rams against Pitt-Johnstown. Ryan added at match-best six blocks. Faircloth had a match-high 19 digs, while Buso contributed 28 assists.
