Mr. Clifton G. Daywalt, 100, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, in his home.
Born May 30, 1925, in South Mountain, PA, he was the son of the late Oliver and Daisy (Carbaugh) Daywalt.
He attended schools in the South Mountain and Waynesboro area.
Mr. Daywalt served his country honorably during World War II, in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946. He then served with the United States Army from 1946 until 1965.
He worked at Letterkenny Army Depot and retired in 1984.
He and his wife, the late Mrs. Ella G. (Kundinger) Daywalt, were married January 26, 1954. They were together for 70 years when she passed away February 22, 2024.
Mr. Daywalt attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quincy, PA, where he served on council and as an usher for many years.
He is survived by one son, Alan L. Daywalt and his wife Joanne of Waynesboro; and one granddaughter, Allison D. Daywalt of Waynesboro.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Louella Mills, and three brothers, Lee Daywalt, Cleason Daywalt, and Allen Daywalt.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
