Mrs. Nancy K. (Mentzer) Woodring, 85, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at Brookview in Menno Haven, Chambersburg, PA.
Born July 11, 1940, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nettie (Burns) Mentzer. She was the last of her immediate family.
She graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1958.
She married Merle D. Woodring in 1959. Merle passed away in December of 1992, after 33 years together.
She retired in 2002, from Providence Place, Chambersburg, where she was employed as a receptionist.
Nancy was a lady of great faith. She had been a member of Rouzerville Methodist Church for many years. She was an avid reader and a very generous person. Above all else, she greatly enjoyed time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Craig S. Woodring and his wife, Nikki, of Shippensburg, PA; a daughter-in-law, Cathryn (Parr) Woodring; four grandchildren: Lauren Woodring, Rachel Woodring, Lisa Yadlosky, and her husband, Josh, and Kelli Woodring and her partner, Kyler Atherton; five great-granddaughters, Leigha, Lila, Kaelyn, Kassidy, and Maddie and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Merle, she was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Mark D. Woodring, and her sister, Charlotte Cordell.
A Celebration of Life service for Nancy will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Menno Haven Life Center, 300 Ridgeview, Chambersburg, PA. A private Graveside service was held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
