CHAMBERSBURG – The Institute for Retired Persons has launched its fall program with a vast array of speakers on many topics. At least two speakers each week are via Zoom.
It’s not too late to catch two this week. At 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, Lloyd Muller will speak on “A continuing odyssey: The emancipation of African Americans and their migration to all parts of society.” And at 10:30 Thursday, Danza Antiqua will address “May I have the pleasure of this dance? A celebration of President Abraham Lincoln’s 1865 inaugural ball.”

Again, many sessions are via Zoom; others are in person at the Menno Haven Life Center, 2011 Ferry Road.
