WAYNESBORO—Buttonwood Nature Center, home of The Institute welcomes new staff member, Ivy Gladhill, who joined Buttonwood in July as communications and publicity director.
In her new position, Gladhill is responsible for designing and creating printed materials such as brochures, fliers, educational materials and more. She also maintains Buttonwood’s website, and publicizes upcoming events and programs via press releases, ads, email, and online media venues.
A Waynesboro native, Gladhill grew up attending The Institute’s school programs and community events. She has a lifelong love of nature and the environment and a passion for environmental education.
“We’re excited to welcome Ivy to our team at Buttonwood as we continue to provide delightful place-based experiences at Buttonwood and in the surrounding region,” said Buttonwood executive director, Tracy Holliday. “She brings a wealth of experience and skills to our professional staff.”
Gladhill holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design with a minor in psychology from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. She lives in Chambersburg with her husband, James.

Buttonwood Nature Center provides year-round programming for school children, as well as a full slate of community learning activities and public events for all ages.
