WILLIAMSPORT, Md. – The Town of Williamsport will host a dedication ceremony for Springfield Manor, the historic homestead of town founder Otho Holland Williams, on Saturday, Sept. 6, at noon. The event marks the property’s transition to public ownership after nearly a decade of community effort.
The ceremony will feature remarks from local leaders and special guests, followed by self-guided tours of the Gate House, Spring House, Tavern and Mansion. Light refreshments will be served, offering attendees a chance to connect with neighbors and friends.
This milestone celebrates not only the preservation of Williamsport’s history but also the future of Springfield Manor as a community hub for learning and gathering. The public is invited to join this historic event, which promises to be a memorable moment for the town.
