Larry A. DeHart, Jr., 54, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Born April 6, 1971 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Mrs. Patsy A. (Stull) DeHart of Waynesboro and the late Larry A. DeHart, Sr. who passed away March 25, 2020.
Larry attended Waynesboro schools, receiving his GED along side his sister with the Class of 1998.
A gifted artist, he had a natural talent for drawing. His laughter was contagious and could light up any room. His warmth, humor and open heart made everyone feel like a lifelong friend. He enjoyed time spent in the outdoors, whether fishing or hunting Morel mushrooms.
In addition to his mother, Larry leaves behind his son, Preston Freeman of Waynesboro; sister, Amy J. DeHart and her fiance, Matthew Biser of Greencastle; his Great Dane “nephew”, Moses; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Quincy with Mr. Fred Middaugh officiating.
