GETTYSBURG – The 71st Pennsylvania Infantry will bring history to life at Gettysburg National Military Park with a living history encampment on Aug. 23-24, at Auto Tour Stop 12, the Pennsylvania Memorial. Visitors can explore the camp, interact with historians, and witness demonstrations of Civil War tools, tactics, and firepower.
The event features programs on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m., offering a glimpse into the lives of soldiers who fought in the historic battle. From artillery roars to bayonet drills, the encampment immerses attendees in the sights and sounds of the Civil War era.
The Pennsylvania Memorial, located at Gettysburg National Military Park, serves as the backdrop for this free event, open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. No registration is required.
