Old Home Week Car Show breaks attendance record

GREENCASTLE – The Old Home Week Antique Car Show, held Aug. 3, set a new record with over 210 vehicles registered, marking the highest turnout in the event’s history. Hosted in Greencastle, the annual showcase of classic automobiles attracted enthusiasts from across the region, filling the streets with vintage charm.

Sponsored by Ganoe Paving, the event featured a diverse array of meticulously restored cars, ranging from early 20th-century models to mid-century classics. Attendees marveled at the gleaming chrome, vibrant paint jobs and the stories behind each vehicle, shared by proud owners.

“It’s incredible to see so many beautifully preserved cars in one place,” said John Miller, a Shippensburg resident and longtime attendee. “This year’s turnout shows how much this event means to the community and car lovers alike.”

The show included judged competitions, with awards for categories like Best in Show and People’s Choice. Organizers credited the record-breaking participation to growing interest in automotive history and the support of Ganoe Paving, whose sponsorship helped expand the event’s reach.

Old Home Week, a tradition celebrating Greencastle’s heritage, provided the perfect backdrop for the car show. Families enjoyed food vendors, live music, and other festivities alongside the automotive display.
