Floyd R. “Digger” O’Dell, Jr., 45, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Chambersburg, Hospital. Born February 12, 1980, in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of Floyd R. O’Dell, Sr. and Donna Emrick Furry.
Digger graduated from YTI with a degree in Motorcycle Mechanics in 2017. He was the owner/operator of O’Dell’s Cycles in Chambersburg for 5 years. He also worked in online retail. Digger was a valued member of the online group Caveman EDC and was known as a Legend within that community. An avid disc golfer, he was a member of 717 Flying Disc Club. Digger also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, Digger is survived by his wife, Amanda Dawn Mumau O’Dell, whom he married on May 13, 2017; five children, Sierra Furman and husband Daron of Chambersburg, Savannah Mower of Chambersburg, Brianna Mower of Shippensburg, Dustin Hamaker of Chambersburg and Harley O’Dell of Chambersburg; four siblings, Kylee Furry of Fayetteville, Cassandra O’Dell of Boyertown, Van O’Dell of Buffalo, NY, and Eric O’Dell and wife Marie of Steel City; and his maternal grandmother, Elaine Emrick. Digger was preceded in death by two siblings, James Gary O’Dell and Kim Girard.
