WAYNESBORO – The American Legion clinched the Waynesboro Youth League Major League Championship in dramatic fashion Tuesday night, edging out their opponent 11-10 in a game that came down to the final inning.
The crowd erupted as the Legion secured the victory, capping off an intense back-and-forth contest. Players and fans alike celebrated the hard-fought win, which marked the culmination of a memorable season.
Adding to the festivities, the Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department arrived after the game and treated the young athletes to a celebratory spray of water, bringing smiles and laughter to the field.
