Mrs. Mae (Rock) Dagenhart, 98, of Shippensburg, PA, and formally of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville, PA.
Born February 13, 1927, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Gladys (Sanders) Rock.
She graduated Waynesboro High School with the class of 1945.
She and her husband, the late Omar M. Dagenhart were married December 21, 1946. They enjoyed 73 years of marriage together before Mr. Dagenhart passed away December 11, 2020.
In her earlier years, she worked at the knitting mill. She later went on to work at Waynes Finance in Waynesboro until the early 1970’s.
She was a member of the American Legion ladies auxiliary post #15 in Waynesboro. Mrs. Dagenhart enjoyed sewing and knitting, having made many sweaters and pieces for family members, and traveling all around the world.
She is survived by her one son, Donald Dagenhart and his wife Mary of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Derek Dagenhart who passed away in 2009.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
