Mrs. Loretta B. (Brant) Helman, 69, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday morning, June 11, 2025, in her home.
Born February 20, 1956 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Helen I. (Summers) Brant and the late George Brant. She lived her early life in the Mercersburg area.
Loretta graduated from James Buchanan High School with the Class of 1974. She later furthered her education at Hagerstown Business College.
She and her husband of over 48 years, Duane Helman, were married on March 19, 1977 in the 1st Church of God, Mercersburg, PA.
Loretta worked as a medical transcriptionist at the Waynesboro Hospital and in private doctors’ offices. She retired in 2022.
She was a member of South Mountain Bible Church and enjoyed gardening, her miniature horses – Luke and Lily, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children, Cameron Helman (Lacy) and Ashley Helman, both of Waynesboro; and two grandchildren, Kinsley and Klara.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in South Mountain Bible Church, 11275 S Mountain Road, Fayetteville, PA with Pastor Colin Morley officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
