Marilyn B. Gadberry, 98, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Brookview Healthcare Center. Born October 25, 1926, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of the late Alfred R. and Junia M. Hawkins Harris. Her beloved husband, George Gadberry, preceded her in death in 1979.
Marilyn spent most of her life making a home for her family. She had also been employed as a Department Manager at JC Penny’s in Chambersburg. She was a long-time member of Chambersburg Bible Church and enjoyed flower gardening, bowling, and golfing.
She is survived by four children, Blaine Gadberry and wife Robbie of Harrisburg, Denver Gadberry and wife Linda of Chambersburg, Trent Gadberry and wife Dawn of Chambersburg, and Kirk Gadberry and wife Trish of Somerset, KY; daughter-in-law, Cindy Gadberry Miller; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. Aside from her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Keith Gadberry; and several siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Steve Trostle will officiate. Private interment will be in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
