Howard Ronald “Ron” Baer of Fannettsburg, PA passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 in his home. Born December 26, 1944 in Fayetteville, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Rachael (Yohe) Baer.
Ron worked as a custodian for the Chambersburg Area School District for more then 26 years from 1982 until his retirement in 2010.
In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Later in life he enjoyed sitting on his porch every evening and listening to nature.
He is survived by three siblings; David J. Baer of Chambersburg, Edgar Baer of Fayetteville, and Ruby Shaffer of Waynesboro and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. Baer and four siblings Ezra M. Baer, Esther E. Baer, Ephraim Harry Baer, Sr., and Eula Mae Baer Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
