CHAMBERSBURG—The Franklin County Area Development Corporation has purchased land in the Wharf Road Industrial Park in Washington Township.
The 20.5-acre parcel is industrially zoned. The purchase price included an approved land development plan for the construction of up to 166,000 square feet.
FCADC has developed five buildings within the park, the most recent of which was the construction of a 33,000-square-foot industrial building on lot 6A. The partially completed facility was sold to Fil-Tec, Inc. of Smithsburg, Maryland, last year.
Fil-Tec is completing the construction of the building, which will be its third within the park.
FCADC is considering developing multiple buildings on its newest lot.
