WAYNESBORO—Looking for something for the person who has everything? Look no further than James and Jess’ House of Goods.
“We strive to be different,” explained Jess Zawatski, the “Jess” half of the business she shares with her husband, James. “We have one-of-a-kind pieces, eclectic items and original antiques.”
Step inside the Main Street shop and you may wonder if you’ve stepped back in time or fallen through a rabbit hole into a place where you can find almost anything you need—if you look long enough.
The store offers more than 8,000 square feet of space, with booths offering a variety of wares, and you could spend 10 minutes or a couple hours shopping.
Looking for Christmas ornaments and holiday décor? They’ve got that.
Need a potato masher for the next family dinner? Ditto.
Want to share a classic game from your childhood with your kids or grandkids? Pick one.
Got a friend that collects salt and pepper shakers or advertising tins? You’ll find plenty to choose from.
“We have everything from the 1700s to mid-century items and beyond,” Zawatski said. “We say we are ‘mostly old with a little new.’”
The “new” comes from vintage-inspired new merchandise as well as items made from local quality artisans.
The selection changes regularly so if, by chance, you don’t find what you are looking for this week, you may find it next week.
