CHAMBERSBURG– A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the area, with residents advised to prepare for winter weather from Friday, Jan. 19 at 1 a.m. to Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 a.m. The National Weather Service is predicting a snowfall accumulation of 2 to 4 inches, which may significantly impact morning and evening commutes due to slippery roads and limited visibility. The persistent snowfall and chilly temperatures on Friday are expected to cause disruptions across the region.

- Waynesboro Area School District: Teacher in service day
- Greencastle-Antrim School District: Closed. Flexible Instruction Day
- Chambersburg Area School District: Closed
- Fairfield Area School District: Remote Learning day. All events and extra-curricular activities are canceled on Friday and on Saturday.
- Washington County Public Schools (WCPS): Closed
- Washington County Government: Implementation of liberal leave for non-essential employees until noon. Essential personnel are expected to report as usual.
