MONT ALTO- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its Presidents Cup award winners during the USCAA National Convention held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Penn State Mont Alto finished third in the 2023 Presidents Cup following an outstanding academic year.
The President’s Cup is given to the member institution that achieves the highest academic point total for the year. Rankings include: individual sport GPA, with the USCAA considering the top five from each institution, the overall department GPA and finally the number of student-athletes named to the National All-Academic teams.
Mont Alto posted a top five Athletic teams average GPA of 3.498. Mont Alto also recorded a total program GPA of 3.3 and had 35 National All-Academic Award Winners this past year.
Seven teams in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference finished within the top 20: Mont Alto (3rd), DuBois (5th), Hazleton (8th), Fayette (10th), Brandywine (11th), Beaver (14th) and Shenango (17th).
