5 Things To Do: June 23-25

Listen to some Tunes. Friday night, June 23 enjoy the music of Shale Pile at Music Makers at 50 W. Main Street in Waynesboro. Shale Pile features Brad Munn and Johnny Calamari. Brad and Johnny play many genres, such as classic country, bluegrass, folk, blues and occasionally, rock. Admission is Free.

Support Children’s Theatre. The Waynesboro Children’s Theatre Troupe will be performing their Summer Selects program at Music Makers on Saturday, June 24 at 11 a.m. This year’s theme is “Show Tunes”, which is always a favorite of the group. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Enjoy a Horse drawn Carriage. The Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Bureau is partnering with Benchfield Farms to offer horse and wagon rides in downtown Chambersburg on Saturday, June 24 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The horse and wagon rides offer a unique way to see the beauty of downtown Chambersburg and learn about the local history and culture.

Watch a Play. Totem Pole Playhouse is set to host “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery” this weekend. The play, is a fast-paced comedy about the famous detective and his trusty sidekick, Dr. Watson, solving one of their most notorious cases. The duo must crack the mystery of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” before a family curse dooms its newest heir.

Cruise in for a Cause. The Fort Ritchie Community Center is hosting the Bill Coyle Memorial Cruise In on Sunday, June 25th, from Noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature vehicles and engines of all makes, models, and sizes on display as part of the Summer Kickoff Celebration with Ritchie Revival. On-site registration will be available starting at 10 a.m., and raffles will be available for purchase. Dash plaques will be offered for the first 100 registered vehicles, and registration is $5 per vehicle.
