FREDERICK, MD- Author Carmen M. Rosa’s first foray into publishing is a colorfully illustrated picture book based on her job as a nanny to a beloved charge.
Rosa wrote “Nanny and Lil One Friendship Team: A Parent’s Dream,” to say goodbye to the child after her nanny position came to an end due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The story is told in a fun, rhyming style with brightly illustrated animals standing in as Rosa and the children.
A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to National CASA/GAL Association for Children, an association that provides advocacy for children that have experienced abuse or neglect.
Rosa grew up in San Diego, Calif. and spent 25 years in the Army before retiring and earning a BA in Communications and a MS in Criminal Justice from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Ariz. She has been a professional nanny since 2016.
