CHAMBERSBURG–Sitting Franklin County Commissioner Bob Ziobrowski and Greencastle resident Cameron Schroy have announced their candidacies as a team for Franklin County Commissioner in the 2023 Democratic Primary.
Ziobrowski has been a commissioner since 2008. A real estate appraiser by profession, he previously served as president of the Chambersburg Area School Board; vice president of the Franklin County Area Development Corporation; and chairman of the Chambersburg Hospital Board of Directors.
Born in Chambersburg, Ziobrowski graduated from CASHS and has a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Wilson College. He is a widower with two grown sons.
“As commissioner, I have supported the social safety net for those less fortunate. I have supported quality of life enhancements while encouraging economic growth. I work to ensure that future generations will have the opportunities to grow, work, and play that I have enjoyed in Franklin County,” he said. “In Cameron, I have a running mate with the judgment and experience to be a great commissioner.”
Schroy is a social studies and English teacher in the Waynesboro Area School District and a life-long resident of Franklin County.
Born in Chambersburg in 1996, he graduated from Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School in 2014 and Shippensburg University in 2018.
Schroy has served on the Franklin County Democratic Committee since 2014 and was elected chair in 2022 as the youngest in Pennsylvania.
He and his wife live in Greencastle.
“Franklin County is a fantastic place to live and we need to work to keep it that way,” Schroy said. “Commissioner Ziobrowski is a proven, thoughtful leader who takes great care to do what is right for our county. I am honored and excited to be his running mate. As a life-long resident of Franklin County, I want to see our communities thrive for years to come.”
