WAYNESBORO– Residents lined Main Street on Monday, May 26, as the Combined Veterans Council led the 2025 Memorial Day Parade and ceremony, honoring the memory of those who gave their lives in service to the United States.
The parade stepped off at 9 a.m., winding down Main Street before turning onto South Broad Street and concluding at Memorial Park. There, a solemn ceremony followed, where veterans, families and community members gathered to pay tribute to fallen service members.
Each year, Memorial Day in Waynesboro offered an opportunity for reflection and gratitude. The parade, organized by local veterans’ groups, provided a moment for residents to remember the cost of freedom and to ensure the legacy of service endured for future generations.
