FAYETTEVILLE – Golfers and animal lovers alike are invited to tee off for a cause at the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter’s Mike Krugh Memorial Golf Tournament, set for Friday, June 6, at Caledonia Golf Club.
The annual event, themed “A Cause for the Paws,” will raise funds to support the shelter’s year-long mission of rescuing, healing and finding homes for the region’s homeless, stray, abused and neglected animals. All proceeds after expenses will go directly to the care, shelter and medical attention for local animals in need.
Registration for the tournament closes Monday, June 2. Participants can sign up individually for $95 or as a foursome for $350. Foursomes may also opt for a supporter sign package at $425. Player registration includes golf, cart, goodie bag, photos, luncheon and prizes.
The tournament will follow a foursome scramble format, with sign-in beginning at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, as well as for longest drives and closest-to-the-pin contests. Additional highlights include a 50/50 drawing, other prize opportunities and a contest hole offering a chance to win a Pebble Beach golf vacation for two.
Golfers can also take advantage of free swing speed analysis on the Longest Drive Prize Hole. Mulligans and Powerballs will be available for purchase.
Platinum event sponsor Pam Health is supporting this year’s tournament.
