WAYNESBORO. – Downtown Waynesboro welcomed food lovers from across the region Sunday, April 27, for the 7th annual Downtown Food Stroll. The event, held from 3 to 6 p.m., drew 137 participants who sampled a wide array of food, chocolate and spirits from local eateries.
Attendees began their stroll at Main Street Park, 25 East Main St., where they received passports to guide them through participating venues. The event featured offerings from 16 local businesses, including 1912 Hoover House, Antietam Dairy, Amanda’s Sweet Treats, The Candy Kitchen, Christine’s Cafe, Coldspring Hollow Distillery, The Crispy Biscuit, Frank’s Pizza, Mikey D’s All-American Grill, Nikki’s Korean BBQ, Rough Edges Brewing, Sapporo, Taqueria La Cienega, Trigger’s Table & Tap Room, The Waynesburger and Zoe’s Chocolate Co.
In addition to food and chocolate tastings, Rough Edges Brewing and other local distilleries offered beer and spirits for sale in Main Street Park from 4 to 6 p.m. The park also served as the hub for live entertainment, with the band Lucky Punk performing from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Participants who completed their stroll passports were eligible for a drawing to win restaurant gift cards. The drawing was held at 5:30 p.m., and winners needed to be present to claim their prizes.
Tickets for the event were sold in advance for $25 and at the door for $30. Proceeds benefited downtown revitalization efforts led by Mainstreet Waynesboro.
Organizers said the event showcased the best of Waynesboro’s dining scene and brought the community together for an afternoon of food, music and fun.
