Mrs. Patricia A. (Barnes) Downin, 90, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA and formerly of Rouzerville, PA passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Quincy Village.
Born January 12, 1935 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Amanda (Smith) Barnes.
She and her husband, the late Mr. Richard E. “Dick” Downin, were married March 1, 1952. Dick passed away May 2, 2024, after 72 years of marriage.
During her working years, Mrs. Downin was employed by Waynesboro Shoe Factory, Connie’s Sportswear and Bargain Town for many years. She also worked at several local convenience stores including High’s Dairy and Sunrise Convenience Store.
She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and flower gardening.
She is survived by three children, Sondra Monn and Debrah Rock, both of Waynesboro and Robert Downin of Leitersburg, MD; five grandchildren, Stacey, Jeremy, Josh, Eli and Erin; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard A. Downin who passed away June 30, 2024; and one sister, Gracie Lohman.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025 in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, near Rouzerville.
