CHAMBERSBURG – Looking for a new friend? The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is featuring these Pets of the Week. For more information, interested would-be pet parents may visit http://www.cvas-pets.org/ or call 717-263-5791.
Ander came into the shelter as a stray with two other dogs. They were emaciated, full of fleas, and internal parasites. They have since been treated and on a feeding regimen that helped them gain weight and not be at risk for Refeeding Syndrome. They are now at healthy weights and ready to find their loving forever homes! Ander is the youngest of the group at 2 years old and despite his past, he is a loving, playful guy that is always excited to see you! He loves getting attention and thinks himself to be a lap dog (even if it has to be in a chair beside you due to his size). He has mastered sitting for his meals and is working on some other basic commands here at the shelter. Ander would love to find a loving forever home where he will not have to worry about where his next meal will be coming from ever again! Ander did test positive for Lyme Disease but is on a course of antibiotics for it. CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, Kennel License #2090
