The Chambersburg Community Theatre is bringing the beloved musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” to the Capitol Theatre Mainstage this weekend. The show, which features Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang navigating life’s big questions with humor and heart, opens Friday at 7 p.m. Performances continue Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $15 for children under 12. Suitable for all ages, the production promises an entertaining experience for the whole family.
Renfrew Museum and Park in Waynesboro will host its 50th Anniversary Opening Day celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event offers hands-on history activities, including quilting, period toys and historic farming demonstrations. Costumed interpreters will occupy the site’s historic structures, which will be open for exploration. Visitors can experience spring cleaning, gardening and daily life at the Fahnestock Farmstead, along with displays of antique farm equipment. The Renfrew Visitors Center and Royer Farmstead will also be open, featuring docents sharing the site’s unique story. Exciting announcements about the Renfrew Mill construction project are planned during the event. Free parking is available at designated lots, and portable restrooms will be provided near the Welty lot.
The Maryland EGGfest is set to delight attendees with a vibrant celebration of Big Green Egg grills, Easter, and spring. Held at Kelly Moore Sheds & Marketplace in Williamsport, Maryland, this annual festival features a cooking competition where visitors can sample dishes and vote for their favorites. A children’s egg hunt is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the event includes a variety of activities such as music, vendors and a showcase of backyard chickens. Additionally, the festival serves as a sock drive benefiting Children In Need, Inc. of Washington County. Tasting tickets are available for $25, allowing participants to indulge in the culinary delights on offer.
Fathers and daughters are invited to create lasting memories at the Daddy-Daughter Dinner Dance hosted by the Chambersburg Recreation Department on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Girls from kindergarten through age 18 can attend with their fathers or father figures for an evening of dancing, contests and a catered dinner.
