SHIPPENSBURG – The Central Pennsylvania Chainsaw Carvers Festival is set to return to the Shippensburg Fairgrounds from April 17–19, offering a weekend packed with artistry and entertainment for all ages. The event, located at 10131 Possum Hollow Road, boasts free admission and parking.
This three-day festival will feature 30 professional chainsaw carvers from across the nation showcasing their skills through live carving demonstrations. Highlights include Quick Carves on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5–6 p.m., followed by auctions at 6:30 p.m. A Masterpiece Auction will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m., giving attendees the chance to bid on extraordinary works of art.
The festival isn’t just about chainsaws. Guests can enjoy a variety of food trucks, craft vendors and live music by FATSO on Friday night from 7–9 p.m. Rough Edges Brewing will also be serving beverages on Friday and Saturday.
Family-friendly activities are planned for Saturday, including a children’s egg hunt at 10 a.m. and an adult egg hunt at noon. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Adventures With Taurus And Friends LLC will bring a mini cow and bunny for children to meet.
Festival hours are Thursday from 3–8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.–9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
