GREENCASTLE – One unnamed person was killed in an accident involving an electric bicycle (e-bike) on Sunday, March 30, Greencastle police reported.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives, police reported.
The incident occurred at about 5:45 p.m. on Ronald Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed no other vehicles were involved, though authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with sitnesses to determine more about the cause of the accident, police indicated.
Greencastle police reminded the public about the importance of following traffic laws, wearing safety gear and using cautiion with electric bicycles.
