Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials announced that a $1.9 million resurfacing project on Route 116 from the intersection of Water Drive in Conewago Township to the intersection of Route 2008 (Elm Avenue) in McSherrystown Borough, Adams County, is scheduled to resume.
Work will mostly be performed during daylight hours with lane restrictions under flagging, as needed. Occasional night work is possible.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This project consists of resurfacing, milling, ADA ramps, guiderail replacement, drainage updates, signing, pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction on Route 116.
ADA curb ramps were completed last year. The remainder of the work will be completed this year.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., of New Enterprise, is the contractor on this project, which should be finished by June 27.
