CHAMBERSBURG – Students at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center are embracing the spirit of Career and Technical Education Month. In Megan Gricar’s engineering tech class, students have been actively engaged in designing and testing projectile launchers, showcasing their creativity and technical skills.
This hands-on project is just one example of the curriculum offered by the center, which emphasizes practical learning and skill development. CTE Month, celebrated annually in February, highlights the value of career and technical education programs across the country.
While the Franklin County Career and Technology Center promotes CTE throughout the year, February provides a special opportunity to recognize the achievements and contributions of these programs and their students.
The center’s commitment to fostering a skilled workforce aligns with the broader goals of CTE Month, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of career readiness and technical skills in today’s workforce. By participating in such projects, students not only develop essential skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of their studies.
