Local businesses celebrate growth with grand feast and ribbon cutting

Setas Mushrooms at Pennsylvania Farm Show,

GREENCASTLE – Setas Eternal Living and Setas Mushrooms are preparing to host their second Annual dinner and Cumberland Valley Business Alliance ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., promises to be a celebration of sustainability, innovation and community spirit.

Set against the backdrop of rolling hills at 7189 Hege Rd, Greencastle, the festivities will showcase the growth and achievements of the two local businesses while offering a day filled with entertainment and networking opportunities for attendees.

While Setas Mushrooms offers mushrooms and mushroom grow kits, Setas Eternal Living offers green burial options, according to the companies’ websites.

The event’s highlights include live music, a diverse farmers market featuring over 50 vendors and facility tours that will give visitors a glimpse into the innovative practices of Setas Eternal Living and Setas Mushrooms. Food enthusiasts can look forward to a Top Chef competition, while those seeking refreshment can enjoy a cash bar offering locally sourced beverages.

At the heart of the celebration is the CVBA ribbon-cutting ceremony, scheduled for 5 p.m. This symbolic gesture will mark a significant milestone for both companies and their contributions to the local economy. In a generous move, the organizers will provide a complimentary dinner to the first 1,000 attendees, featuring locally sourced ingredients prepared by expert chefs.

Dr. Max Justice, CEO of Setas Eternal Living and chairman of Setas Mushrooms, emphasized the event’s significance beyond mere business success. “We are not just celebrating our achievements,” he said, “but bringing people together to support local businesses and showcase the incredible potential of sustainable agriculture and ethical business practices.”

The dinner is not only a celebration but also a prime networking opportunity. Entrepreneurs, farmers and business professionals from across the tri-state region are expected to attend, fostering collaboration and idea exchange in an atmosphere of innovation and sustainability.

For those interested in attending this event, more information can be found on the Setas Eternal Living and Setas Mushrooms websites.
