HAGERSTOWN – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners announces that after further consideration, the countywide burn ban will remain in effect. Initially set to be lifted at noon today, the ban will now remain in place and be reevaluated on Friday, April 4.
All outdoor burning is prohibited. Prohibited activities include:
- Campfires
- Open fire pits
- Burning of debris and brush
- Agricultural burns
Residents are urged to comply with the burn ban and avoid any outdoor burning activities to prevent the risk of uncontrolled fires.
