Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Diebert) Stine, 90, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 4, 1934, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Mary (Davis) Diebert.
She graduated from Williamsport Senior High School with the class of 1952.
She married Max Owen Stine, Sr. on May 2, 1953, in Hagerstown, MD. They were married over 48 years when Max passed away February 10, 2002.
Dorothy was employed by Baer Packing, Greencastle in a supervisor role. She retired in 1988.
She was a member of Greencastle Church of God
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, who always put her family first. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She is survived by 8 children: Beverly J. Reihart (Roy D.) of St. Thomas, Larry D. Stine (Roxann) of Greencastle, Max O. Stine, Jr. (Katina) of State Line, William E. Stine, Greencastle, Linda M. Cook (Darwin, Sr.) of Greencastle, David A. Stine (Annette), Greencastle, John H. Stine, Greencastle, and Maxine L. Saunders (Richard), of Greencastle; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters: Lorraine Jamison, Downsville, MD and Evelyn Smith of Oscala, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger L. Stine and a sister, Phyllis Diebert.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Monday, March 31, 2025, in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA, with Pastor Floyd Myers officiating.
