Katherine S. Alloway, 72, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her home. Born July 6, 1952 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late Alvah N. Slabaugh and Dorothy M. Holt Williams.
Katherine was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Shook Home in Chambersburg for many years and most recently at Keystone Family Medicine, also in Chambersburg. She was a member of Christian Life Church. Katherine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Cooper. She also enjoyed traveling to Chincoteague Island and going to church.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael R. Alloway of Chambersburg; four children, Michael “Andy” Dodd of Enola, Tracy Dodd of Chambersburg, Jeffrey Alloway of Pine Grove, and Drew Alloway of Chambersburg; and six grandchildren. Aside from her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Robert Slabaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Joe Pickens will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
