Betty J. Kriner, 80, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 19, 1944, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul M. and Laura Scott Carbaugh. Her beloved husband, William F. Kriner, preceded her in death on January 8, 2020.
Betty was employed in the press room and as a seamstress with the Stanley Company in Chambersburg until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and puzzles. Betty also loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Gary T. Carbaugh and wife Lisa of Chambersburg, Paul M. Carbaugh of Chambersburg, and William L. “Bill” Kriner of St. Thomas; two grandchildren, April and Cody Carbaugh, both of Chambersburg; three siblings, Laura Gelwicks and husband David of Chambersburg, Tina Bracken and husband Jess of Shippensburg, and Ralph Carbaugh and wife Darlene of Chambersburg; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Carbaugh. Aside from her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Carbaugh, and Joe Carbaugh and wife Colleen.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
