Mrs. Margaret B. (Baumer) Lawler 82, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away at 11:14 AM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 20, 1942, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Adams) Baumer.
She married her husband, John Lawler, on July 20, 1958 in New Jersey, and were blessed with 66 years of love and companionship.
Margaret was a kind-hearted and devoted homemaker, whose life was centered around caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found great joy in her role as a mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family. In addition to her devotion to her loved ones, Margaret had a passion for gardening, sewing, embroidery, and enjoyed traveling in her younger years.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Lawler; their children, Don Lawler (and his wife, Reenie) of Sabillasville, Susan Baker (and her husband, Keith) of Waynesboro, and Jane Lawler of Chambersburg; grandchildren Jason, Josh, Brian, Kristen and Rachel; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ken Baumer of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The arrangements are entrusted to Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro, PA.
