Mr. James Carl Johnson, 67, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, January 28, in Frederick.

Born September 8, 1957, in Baltimore, he was a son of Wanda Iline Call Kibler, formerly of Hagerstown and currently of Walkersville, and the late Marco Edward Johnson.  He was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, Union Bridge.

Carl, as he was fondly known by friends, was an an electrician by trade; and a Christian by faith.

He was an avid hunter.  He enjoyed hunting for deer, turkey, and racoons.  He also enjoy playing baseball and softball in his youth having played with the Damascus Wildcats.

Besides his mother, Carl is survived by his siblings Robert Johnson and wife Teresa of Frederick; Charles Johnson and wife Annette of Smithsburg, David Call and wife Kay of Williamsport, and Harry Kibler, Jr.,  and fiancee Jessica Kibler, both of South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially by friend Fred Smith of Monrovia.

 He was was preceded in death not only by his father, but by step-father Harry Kibler, Sr.; and by siblings Henry, Sally and Edward Johnson.

The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Monday, February 3, beginning at 9:30 AM, and until the funeral service begins at the funeral home at 10:30 AM.  Rev Jeffrey A. Shaw of Mountain View Ministries will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
