CHAMBERSBURG – The Chambersburg Community Theatre is gearing up to present Steve Martin’s cosmic comedy “Meteor Shower” at the Wood Center in the Capitol Theatre Center. The production is scheduled for a limited run from Feb. 14 to 16, with four performances over the Valentine’s Day weekend.
” Meteor Shower” takes place on a warm summer night in Ojai, California, where Corky and Norm are hosting a dinner party for Gerald and Laura to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower. As the evening progresses, the couples engage in increasingly absurd and flirtatious behavior, leading to a night of wild antics and unexpected twists.
Steve Martin’s trademark absurdist humor shines through in this one-act play, which explores the comic anxieties lurking beneath the surface of modern marriages. The show promises to bend time and reality, offering audiences a surprisingly funny and unforgettable theatrical experience.
