WAYNESBORO – The CPWA West Regional Qualifiers took place at Waynesboro Senior High School on Saturday, Feb. 1. The event featured 14 teams competing for spots in the upcoming CPWA West and East Championships. Among the participating teams were Chambersburg, Shippensburg, West Perry and Cumberland Valley. The top nine wrestlers in each weight class from this regional qualifier would advance to the championships. The CPWA West and East Championships, scheduled for the following weekend, would also include teams from the East Regional, such as East Pennsboro, Elizabethtown and Hershey, setting the stage for an exciting wrestling competition.
