Guy Victor Musick, 87, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Providence Place. Born September 9, 1937 in Millersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence Emory and Mary Violet Riland Musick. His beloved wife, Gloria Jean Musick, whom he married on May 16, 1965, preceded him in death on February 7, 2023. Guy was reunited with Gloria on what would have been her 82nd birthday.

Guy served honorably in the US Army. He was the owner/operator of his own barber shop from 1958-1967. He then worked at Howard Johnson’s from 1967-71 and later at PPG Industries in the tank department until his retirement in 2000. After his retirement, he was employed at the Lighthouse Restaurant. Guy was a member of King Street Church where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class. He also volunteered with Vacation Bible School and the bread baking ministry. Guy enjoyed making stained glass items, crafting, baking shoofly pies, collecting different eagle themed items and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Todd Musick and wife Gail of Bloomington, IL, and Shawn Musick and wife Stacy of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Mitchel, Logan, Chloe, and Emma Musick; four siblings, Nevin Musick (Leona), Anna Jane Trayer, Sylvia Fitzsimmons and Faye Zimmerman (Sam); and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from his wife and parents, Guy was preceded in death by two siblings, Edna Mae Novinger and Dale Musick.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Ronald Cook will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens where military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to King Street Church, 56 N. 2nd Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
