Mrs. Mary Jane (Karper) Harvey, 84, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in Berkeley County Medical Center, Berkley, WV.
Born December 25, 1939 in Shippensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruce M. and Mabel (Bistline) Karper.
Mrs. Harvey was a graduate of Shippensburg High School.
She and her husband, the late Thomas L. Harvey, were married on December 25, 1988. Mr. Harvey passed away September 1, 2013.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Harvey worked at various ski resorts including Ski Liberty locally and also Jackson Hole, WY.
She enjoyed watching NFL Football, feeding her cats and traveling.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by two children, David A. Gaston of Waynesboro and Laurie K. Hedrick of Spring Mills, WV; three grandsons, Stephen, David and Jason; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Rockwell of Chambersburg and Janet Reed of Waynesboro; one brother, Jason Karper; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
