Mr. Edward T. “Tommy” Follin, Jr., 88, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024, at Quincy Village, Quincy, PA.

Born November 10, 1935, in Chevy Chase, MD, he was the son of the late Edward T. Collin Sr. and Cathrine (Sine) Follin.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Tommy made a living working as a Union Plumber for a majority of his life.

He was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters National Union. In his earlier days he liked to hunt. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to Charles Town Casino. Tommy was a one-of-a-kind individual and was not only well known by many, but he was also loved by many. It was not uncommon for you to be greeted by Tommy with a hug and a kiss, nor was it uncommon to leave him without another hug and kiss. He was a generous soul who will be dearly missed by his family.

In addition to his companion Peggy Green of 17 years, he is survived by his four children, Debra “Debbie” McLaughlin, Theresa McWilliams, Edward Follin III, and Steven Follin all of Hanover, PA; 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Helen Davis of Hagerstown, MD, Lewis “Lewy” Follin of Thurmont, MD, Robert Follin and his wife Joan “Cookie” of Thurmont, Jimmy Follin and his wife Janet of Ocala, FL, Janice Bunn and her husband Lindsay of Baltimore, MD, and Joan Follin and her husband Frankie of Amherst, VA, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy V. Follin who passed away in 2001.

The family wishes to personally thank the staff at Heartland Hospice in Chambersburg, PA for their tremendous care, gratitude, and wonderful generosity during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Burial at Hyattstown Methodist Church Cemetery, Clarksburg, MD will be private and at the convenience of the family.
