Bobbie Ray Weaver, 74, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday, June 22, 2023 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 13, 1948 in Washington, D.C. he was the son of the late Malcolm and Elizabeth Weaver.
Bobbie was a professional computer programmer, starting his career as a contractor at the Washington Naval Yard from 1977 to 1997. Later he was employed as a computer programmer for GEICO Insurance from 1997 until his retirement in 2017.
Bobbie was an avid tennis player in his early years of the 1980s and then moved to golfing. He became a very accomplished golfer. He once hit a “hole in one” twice in one week. Bobbie also had fun, and he was quite proficient at duckpin bowling.
He is survived by two brothers; Carlos Weaver of Glenn Dale, MD and Roger Weaver of Waynesboro, PA.
In addition to his parents, Bobbie is preceded in death by a brother; Edward Weaver, and his half-brother Malcolm Weaver.
