Troy A. Parson, 54, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 27, 1969 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Walter D. Parson and Virginia (Shaffer) Forbes.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1987. Following graduation Troy was employed as a flooring installer for Brewer Floor Company for a number of years.
Troy had many passions in his life, but the greatest was spending time with his two daughters. He also enjoyed spending time with his close friend Chris at his garage. He liked hanging out with his friends and listening to music. Troy loved to build model cars and have contests with his daughter. Troy was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Troy is survived by his two daughters, Hailey Parson (Branden) and Taylor Parson (Melissa) both of Chambersburg; a sister, Diane Geyer (Anthony); three step-brothers, David Forbes (Cheryl), Robert Brian Forbes (Melissa), and Richard Forbes (Lisa); special niece, Joanna Russo; and special nephews William “Billy” Russo and Brady Geyer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather R. Gregory Forbes and a sister, Lisa Parson.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
