In Loving Memory of Jose M. Flythe, who departed unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, leaving behind a profound sense of sorrow among family and friends. He was 38 years old. Jose was born July 11, 1985 and was the beloved son of Roy L. Flythe and Step Mother Rosa Flythe. Jose was a 2003 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and a member of St. James AME Church, Chambersburg. Jose was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and valued spending time with his father who introduced Jose to his love of hunting and fishing. The sudden loss of Jose has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will endure through the countless lives he touched and the memories he helped create. He will be remembered for his compassion, love, humor and most of all, his resilience. Jose is survived by his father, Roy L. Flythe and step-mother, Rosa Flythe (Chambersburg), fiance; Ashley Ressler (Chambersburg), sisters; Yolonda Gonzales (Chambersburg), Rolonda Flythe (Buffalo, New York), step-siblings Jessie Lazu, Rosa (Janet) Lazu and Ernesto (Tito) Lazu, nieces and nephews; Selena Gonzales West, Alesandra Simcox, Eugene Covington Jr., Xavier Covington, Yalina Spriggs and a great-niece. He was a loving father to Iyonna Flythe, Ariella Flythe, Ariyonna Flythe and Sabrina Flythe. Jose was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sara M. Flythe-Lewis. Though he left this world far too soon, Jose’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. In the midst of our grief, let us take comfort in the knowledge that Jose has found peace and is free from the trials of this world. Until we meet again, may you find eternal peace in the arms of the angels. A celebration of Jose’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 2pm at Sellers Funeral Home with Pastor Marilyn Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St.James AME Church 510 S. Main St. Chambersburg Pa, 17201.
