Anna Feil, 79, passed away on April 12th, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital, in Chambersburg PA. She was born October 5, 1944, in Nampa, Idaho, the daughter of Margaret and Leroy Broadbent. She was the last of four children, proceeded by Helen, Eunice, and Richard. She was many things throughout her life, daughter, wife, mother, friend, aunt, sister, grandmother, seamstress, teacher, quilter, and much more to many people. Anna Feil’s seamstress work was a great joy to her. She started sewing clothing in her teens. In her life, she made stuffed joint teddy bears and animals. She designed, sewed, and altered wedding dresses, bridesmaid, and flower girl dresses. However, her greatest passion was quilting. All of her quilts are works of art. She donated hundreds of knitted and crocheted baby blankets and bonnets. She coordinated with many Christian women’s outreach on their donation projects, as well as, many churches on their missionary and ministry ventures. She worked for many years with First Baptist Church of Yucaipa as Costume Director for the Bethlehem MarketPlace production. Anna was a remarkable teacher. She taught many to crochet, knit, and quilt; she was hired by Joann Fabrics in Moreno Valley to teach many of their quilting classes. She enjoyed watching others grow and learn in their new crafting skills; seeing her students flourish in their new skills brought her tremendous happiness. In her later years, Anna made numerous scarves and beanies for her family and friends. It was her great pleasure to give these crocheted creations to loved ones and those whom she felt needed something handmade with love. Everything Anna made, she always made with love and thoughtful prayer for the recipient. Anna was a loving wife to John Weldon Feil and a loving mother to Laura Ann and Heather Lynn. Anna’s life was not always an easy one, her strong faith in Jesus helped her to overcome the big and small hurdles in her life. Through all these obstacles, Anna always remained faithful to God and made sure her girls always knew they were dearly loved. She lived her life by the scripture. "For we walk by faith, not by sight.," 2 Corinthians 5:7 New English Version. Anna also made sure that when her grandkids and step-grandkids came along they knew they were deeply loved. Anna was preceded in death by; Leroy Broadbent – father, Margaret Broadbent – mother, and John Weldon Feil – husband. Anna is survived by her daughters Laura (Feil) Stensrud and Heather (Feil) Hampton. Additionally, Ann is survived by her brother Richard Broadbent, sister-in-law Doris Broadbent, and many extended family members. Her grandkids Brieanna Renee, Aiden Maclin, her Step-grandkids Gavin Christopher, and Aiden Michael. Her Grand-puppies Flint, Jackson, Sinjun. Anna Feil (mom) you will be thought of often, missed every day, and loved always.
